Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about operations, security and billing.
Does the physical QR point to Google?
No. It points to rateit.site/p/... and Rateit selects the review form. You can change the location or campaign without reprinting the device.
What is the difference between a RatePad and a physical QR?
A RatePad is a collection channel for reviews and metrics. A physical QR device can be linked to that channel. A RatePad also works through a link, an on-screen QR or NFC.
Can an activation code be reused?
No. It is only used for the first activation. Afterward, the company changes the destination in the dashboard, and Rateit administrators can revoke the device.
Do customers need an app to leave a review?
No. They tap their phone or scan the QR and respond in the browser.
Do I need a location before creating a RatePad?
No. Owners and administrators can create a RatePad without a location and link it later.
Does receiving a review consume AI credits?
No. Storing and organizing reviews does not call AI. Credits are consumed when an authorized user requests an analysis, report or draft.
Are names and phone numbers sent to AI?
No. Contact details are kept separately for support and consented marketing. The pipeline removes them before calling AI.
Can I move a QR from one location to another?
Yes. Open RatePads, find the physical device and change its destination. The printed QR remains the same.
How do I pause or revoke a RatePad?
The company can pause or delete a RatePad. Rateit administrators can revoke a physical device or RatePad in cases of loss, fraud or support.
What if NFC does not open the page?
Check that NFC is enabled, hold the top of the phone near the tag, remove metal cases and try the backup QR. Rewrite the tag as a URL/URI if needed.
Is Google Business Profile required?
No. RatePads, CSV, API and WooCommerce can supply reviews. Google is another source once its quota is approved.
How do I get help?
Send the description, time, company, location and RatePad ID to suporte@rateit.site. Never send passwords, API keys or recovery codes.
Still need help?
Send the RatePad ID and a description of the issue. Never share passwords or API keys.
